A robotic store assistant named Galbot has made its debut on the eastern section of Zhongshan Road in Siming district, Xiamen. 

Galbot is housed in a 16-square-meter "space capsule"-style structure which has quickly become a new tech hotspot, injecting digital and intelligent vitality into the century-old historic street. The deployment of the robot also marks a significant step forward for Siming district in strengthening its embodied AI industry.

Galbot operates fully autonomously without the need for manual supervision. It can proactively greet customers, engage in interactive conversations, pick up merchandise, hand over items, and process orders and payments, along with a range of other services. 

Additionally, features such as uninterrupted operation, self-charging, and remote intelligent scheduling provide consumers with a convenient and novel robotic shopping experience.

Beijing Galbot Co Ltd was founded in 2023, with its core focus on embodied AI. Siming district is home to globally renowned cultural and tourism sites, providing extensive opportunities for the application of embodied AI humanoid robots. The district also boasts an excellent business environment and a solid industrial foundation in manufacturing and AI, offering strong support for the implementation and development.

Upon the robot store manager's landing, Galbot (the company) will establish a company in Xiamen, which will serve as its regional operational headquarters integrating R&D, manufacturing, application, operation, exhibition, and global product distribution. In the future, the company will continue to implement more real-world embodied intelligence applications in Xiamen.
