The Mongu-Kalabo Highway, known as the most beautiful water highway in Africa, is located about 600 kilometers west of Lusaka, the capital of Zambia.

It is?POWERCHINA's first project?in Zambia?and the best place for viewing the sunset of the Zambezi River, drawing visitors from all over the world.

The highway is the only way for the Western Province of Zambia to trade with neighboring Angola. It has solved the problem of flooding and road blockage during the rainy season,?as well as?stimulated?the development?of local transportation and?import and export trade.

The success of the project verified what the former Vice-president of Zambia?Lupando?Mwape said, "The success of Chinese companies is a very correct choice for us."
