Shares drop 1.55% tracking Wall Street losses

Updated: 2008-07-25 17:17 Chinese shares snapped the uptrend of the previous trading day and ended 1.55 percent lower on Friday, inheriting Wall Street losses overnight and an oil price rebound. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 1.55 percent or 45.19 points, finishing at 2,865.1 points. The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 9,923.16 points, down 0.83 percent, or 82.83 points.
