For Annamerie Sorovi, a 20-year-old primary education student at the Fiji National University, her first visit to China quickly turned into a shopping discovery tour. After spending three weeks in the country, she says she has been impressed by Chinese products and the wonderful shopping experience here.
"Chinese products are very nice—the quality is better than those in Fiji, and the prices are very cheap, " Anna said excitedly. She even tried a nail art service, which she described as really nice and affordable—four times cheaper than the same service back home.
During her stay, she visited a wide range of stores, buying body mists, clothes and cosmetics as gifts for her friends and family. She said she was particularly impressed by the value-for-money offered by Chinese clothing and beauty products, which combine good quality and competitive prices.
Beyond shopping, the young Fijian student also fell in love with Chinese cuisine, especially dumplings with pork and vegetable fillings, as well as Inner Mongolian lamb and hotpot, adding to her overall positive impression of the trip.
The journey also brought new experiences. At Fulong Ski Resort in Chongli, Anna saw snow for the first time and tried skiing, calling it an "unforgettable experience" and pleasant contrast to the hot and humid weather that she’s accustomed to back in Fiji.
She also planned to stop by a Huawei store to purchase phone accessories, noting that while the brand is also available in Fiji, she was curious to compare prices in the Chinese market.
With Spring Festival approaching, Anna even learned to say "Happy Spring Festival" in Chinese to share her warmest wishes.
Anna's happy experience is perhaps the best proof of China's cost-effective products and irresistible charm—for anyone curious about China, Anna's story says it all: Why not come to China to experience the shopping spree for yourself?
