On December 18, the Hainan Free Trade Port officially commenced island-wide special customs operations, marking the activation of a "super interface" between China's mainland and the global market. In an exclusive interview with China Daily Youth, Cui Fan, chief expert at the University of International Business and Economics' Hainan Research Institute, provided a vivid example to explain the duty-free policy on value-added processing in the Hainan Free Trade Port.
