Fujian Coast Guard bolsters operational control near Jinmen

The Fujian Coast Guard conducted routine law enforcement patrols on Friday in the waters near Jinmen, an island administered by Taiwan, a spokesman for the China Coast Guard (CCG) said.
Zhu Anqing, spokesman for the CCG's East China Sea Bureau, said in a news release that since November, the Fujian Coast Guard has deployed fleets to continuously strengthen law enforcement patrols around the waters near Jinmen, further enhancing control over the relevant sea areas.
These patrols effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests, as well as the lives and property of Chinese fishermen, including those from Taiwan, and ensure the smooth navigation and operational order in the waters between Xiamen and Jinmen, the spokesman said.
