The 2nd World Conference on China Studies was held in Shanghai from Oct 13 to 15 under the theme "Historical and Contemporary China: A Global Perspective".
Charles Okechukwu Onunaiju, director of the Center for China Studies in Nigeria, said that Confucius Institutes are growing fast in Africa, and Chinese philosophy is inspiring minds across the continent — from The Art of War to Confucian wisdom and the idea of harmony between man and nature.
