China announces press briefings on victory anniversary events
BEIJING -- China on Wednesday announced plans to hold three press conferences and three group interviews to further outline preparations on the upcoming victory anniversary events.
The activities have been organized by the press center for the events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. The center is based in the Beijing Media Center Hotel.
The first press conference is scheduled at 10 am on Thursday. Senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Beijing municipal government, and the People's Liberation Army will present updates on the preparations for the events and take questions from journalists, according to a notice issued by the center.
Foreign journalists and those from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan can register for the press events at https://kzjn80reg.zgjx.cn/applyIndex.html. The center also announced hotlines for journalists from home and abroad.
