In recent years, Chinese literature has garnered increasing international attention, with Chinese literary works reaching international readers through translations by sinologists. The 7th International Sinologists Conference on Translating Chinese Literature recently commenced in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, gathering 39 sinologists from 31 countries together with 39 Chinese writers for in-depth exchanges. In an exclusive interview with China Daily Website, sinologists from Germany, Bulgaria, Egypt, Denmark, and the Czech Republic shared their favorite Chinese literary works and authors, noting the warm reception of Chinese literature by local readers.
