China's State Council appoints, removes officials

BEIJING -- China's State Council on Tuesday announced personnel changes involving key government and institutional positions.
Miao Deyu was appointed vice-minister of foreign affairs.
Liu Dongshun was appointed vice-minister of water resources and no longer serves as the director of the Changjiang Water Resources Commission.
Huang Sanwen was named president of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, replacing Wu Kongming.
