Olympic champions bear FISU flag in Chengdu
Olympic Champions led the bearers of the FISU flag at the opening ceremony of the Chengdu FISU Games on Friday night, including winter Olympic champion Su Yiming and Olympic diving champion Ren Qian.
The FISU flag arrived at the stadium with eight flag bearers before a chorus of university students singing the FISU anthem to witness the flag rising.
The flag bearers are Su, the snowboard big air gold medalist of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics; Ren, women’s 10m platform champion of the Rio 2016 Olypmics and also China's first Olympic champion born in the 2000s; Shi Tingmao, four-time Olypmic women's 3m springboard diving champion; Zou Jingyuan, world and Olympic champion of men's parallel bars; Mai Jiajie, two-time FISU games shooting champion; Ma Yuefei, four-time FISU games table tennis champion; and two repetitiveness of games volunteers -- Sun Yimin from Sichuan University and Pu Shuying from Chongqing University.
