Zhejiang FC to take on Shandong Taishan in 2022 CSL opener
BEIJING - Newly-promoted Zhejiang FC will challenge defending champions Shandong Taishan in the 2022 Chinese Super League(CSL)'s opening match on June 3, the CSL said on its official Weibo account on Friday.
Meizhou, in south China's Guangdong province, Haikou, capital of south China's Hainan province, and Dalian, in the northern Liaoning province, have been selected as the three host cities to start the season, said the CSL, without mentioning specific fixtures.
Dalian Pro, who had initially been relegated last season, have filled the gap left by the disbanded Chongqing Liangjiang Athletic in the Haikou division.
2022 CSL first phase groupings are as follows:
Meizhou: Meizhou Hakka, Beijing Guoan, Shenzhen, Cangzhou Mighty Lions, Tianjin Jinmen Tigers, Chengdu Rongcheng
Haikou: Shandong Taishan, Changchun Yatai, Guangzhou City, Henan Songshanlongmen, Dalian Pro, Zhejiang
Dalian: Shanghai Port, Guangzhou, Hebei, Shanghai Shenhua, Wuhan Three Towns, Wuhan Changjiang
