A total of 19 college students participated in the 21st Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students in Ireland on April 24.
Among them, 8 participants successfully entered the final round. Each of them delivered a theme speech in Mandarin and performed either Chinese folk music or martial arts.
Anna Roth, 22, from University College Cork won the contest. She expressed her strong interest in Chinese philosophy and expected to learn it in China.
