Grace Zhuang, co-head of the 20th and 21st Century Art: Shanghai Evening Sale, says contemporary art has become a global language and form of expression. The sales event also marked the official opening of Christie's new space at No 1 on the Bund, a historical building from 1916. Spanning 1,600 square meters, the space will be used to host auctions, exhibitions, salons and public education events.
