The second phase of construction of the China National Convention Center was completed on Monday.
The main media center includes the international broadcasting center and the main press center.
The international center will serve as the Olympic Broadcasting Co headquarters and house all rights-holding broadcasters.
The main media center is equipped with an outdoor fuel generator and an indoor continuous power supply, which will ensure uninterrupted coverage during the events.
The total construction area of the second phase of the main venue is around 409,000 square meters. French architect Christian de Portzamparc designed the center.
