The 17th French Film Panorama kicked off in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, on Dec 25.
Organized by UniFrance, this year's panorama will be held in Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Kunming, Sanya, Wuhan, Dalian, Guangzhou and Shenzhen from December to January 2021.
Though the panorama was delayed from summer to winter due to COVID-19, fans and audiences from China are still excited by the event and the films on display.
"I am thrilled about this year's panorama," said Peng Chen, a 30-year-old teacher from Wuhan. "It is like a Christmas gift to me, as I can watch the newly released French films in my city. I like French films because I can find resonance in these movies".
Eight selected French films will be shown, include The Truth, I Lost My Body, Le sel des larmes, Un Triompheand A l'abordage.
Olivier Guyonvarch, Consul General of the Republic of France in Wuhan, said at the opening ceremony everyone can find themselves in French films, their everyday life and their dreams.
