Last coronavirus patients in Hubei county released from hospital
Shennongjia, a county-level administrative region in Central China's Hubei province, declared on Monday that all 10 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus there had been cured, making it the first area in Hubei with zero confirmed cases.
Shennongjia, in the northwest of the outbreak center, had reported a total of 10 confirmed cases since the outbreak. The last two people recovered and were discharged from the hospital on Monday morning.
There also was no infection among medical personnel. As of Sunday, there had been no new confirmed cases in Shennongjia for 13 consecutive days.
Shennongjia is directly under the administration of the Hubei provincial government, with a total population of 80,000 from 10 different ethnic groups. It reported its first confirmed case on Jan 27.
