Chengdu Panda Asian Food Festival's logo design though concise pays tribute to a number of Chinese cultural traditions. It depicts the image of the giant panda in Chengdu and pepper - the soul of Sichuan cuisine. The bridge represents cultural exchange and the arc image of the earth represents internationalization. Finally the logo is created using Chinese ink and wash.

The Chengdu festival's mascot is a giant panda, named after the homophonic pangdun (cute fatty) of PANDA. It brings together chili and pepper into a Sichuan-inspired design. The logo uses red and yellow as its base for what is a bright, lively representation of Sichuan culture.
