The Chinese version of the French musical, Ponzi, will make its debut in Beijing on April 26 and will run for three performances at Poly Theater.
Produced by Beijing-based company, Magnificent Culture, the Chinese version musical is adapted from the French musical production, Le système de Ponzi, directed by French director David Lescot.
The musical, based on the life story of the infamous Italian Charles Ponzi, who emigrated to the United States in the early 20th century and became a millionaire after promoting a dubious financial scheme in Boston, premiered in Limoges, France in 2012 and has been staged over a 100 times so far.
