Beijing parks receive over 2 mln visitors during Spring Festival holiday

BEIJING - Beijing's 11 municipal parks and the Museum of Chinese Garden and Landscape Architecture received 2.26 million visitors during the Spring Festival holiday.
The peak occurred on Feb. 19, with the number of visitors reaching 466,000, according to the municipal park administration.
During the 7-day holiday, which ran from Feb 15-21, festive events and activities were held across Beijing.
Zhongshan Park saw 142,000 visitors in total, while Jingshan Park reported 108,000 tourists.
Spring Festival, or the Chinese Lunar New Year, is the most important festival for people of Chinese origin. It fell on Feb. 16 this year.
